Killed my Blackberry Pearl

Pros: Charged my Nano
Cons: Killed my black berry pearl phone
Killed my black berry pearl didn't charge the pearl. Now when I plug it into my laptop usb port the laptop doesn't recognize the device and warns me that there was power surge on hub port. Tried plugging the Blackberry Pearl into the wall charger, will not charge.
